The 87th running of the Irish 1000 Guineas was held on Sunday 25th May 2008 over 1 mile of The Curragh. The winner won €224,500. The winner was owned by Mr Michael Tabor, trained by Aidan O'Brien and ridden by Seamie Heffernan. The winner won by a head in 1 minute 40.82 seconds, with a head between second and third. Note that Tuscan Evening finished second but was disqualified for drifting left, causing interference, and was placed 4th.
